************************* The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated one report of a break and enter overnight. A residence in the 100 block of Dufferin Street was entered. Suspects stole a small quantity of cash. Included in the stolen money were old Canadian dollar bills. This incident occurred between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Anyone receiving any older money [not exactly as illustrated] is requested to contact the City Police.
************************* City Police received three reports of thefts from vehicles yesterday. Culprits stole a briefcase and a backpack from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Hamilton Ave. A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Laird Street was entered - it is unknown at this time what was taken. A pickup truck parked in the 100 block of Churchill Avenue was entered and an “Otter” portable ice fishing hut was taken.
************************* City Police received two reports of mischief overnight. A vehicle parked in the 200 block of Meadow Park Crescent was egged last night. The second mischief complaint was that a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Great Northern Road had a tire slashed.
