OPP NEWS RELEASE

************************* Snow machine burnt on trail

VANKOUGHNET TWP, ON – The owner of a snow machine attended the OPP detachment yesterday afternoon to advise that on Sunday, March 8 he was going ice fishing on his snow machine near Robertson Lake when his sled started to bog.

The owner smelled something burning and stopped the machine.

He opened the hood and observed that the sled had caught fire.

He managed to get the fire out but the sled suffered major damage.

The owner suffered minor burns to the eye and hand area.

The snow machine was removed from the bush.

The cause of the fire appeared to be electrical.
