************************* Driver from motor vehicle collision on February 8 succumbs to his injuries

On the 8th of February 2007 officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended on Trunk Road near the eastern City limits for a motor vehicle collision involving a car and a City Transit bus.

The driver of the car, 50-year-old Hugh Hawdon, of Richards Landing was taken to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Neither the driver of the bus nor the passenger were injured in the collision.

On Saturday February 10, Mr. Hawdon succumbed to his injuries.

Officers from Traffic Services are continuing their investigation into this collision.
