Ever wonder when it's safe to plant flowers in Sault Ste. Marie?

"I heard something interesting," Steve informed us. "Local gardeners keep an eye on McDonalds on Great Northern Road. Apparently when McDonalds plants their flowers, it is safe to plant flowers in your own garden. I just thought it was interesting."
Wow - we never would have guessed!
In any case, we want you to know that Environment Canada has issued the following frost warning for Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island - Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay - Agawa - Lake Superior Park - Wawa - Pukaskwa Park - White River - Dubreuilville - Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake - Gogama - Foleyet - Chapleau - Missinaibi Lake.
We've also included a freeze warning for the Upper Penisula and other parts of Northern Michigan issued at 3:46 a.m. ************************* Environment Canada
Lows at or below zero are expected overnight and early Saturday over the above regions.
Clearing skies and diminishing winds will combine to allow temperatures to fall to zero degrees overnight.
Frost is expected over these regions as a result.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A FREEZE WATCH, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BOTTOM OUT IN THE UPPER 20S AND LOWER 30S, RESULTING IN THE POTENTIAL OF A HARD FREEZE FOR MOST AREAS.
THE COLDEST READINGS WILL BE IN THE INTERIOR LOW LYING AREAS, AWAY FROM THE IMMEDIATE LAKESHORES.
TEMPERATURES WILL RAPIDLY WARM TO ABOVE FREEZING IN ALL AREAS BETWEEN BY 9 AM.
A FREEZE WATCH MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE.
THESE CONDITIONS COULD KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
