NEWS RELEASE

SAULT STE. MARIE PUBLIC LIBRARY

************************ East and Bay streets intersection closed for next 10 days by the library

Follow signs for access to main library

[The] East-Bay streets intersection will be closed at the main library for the next 10 days as construction on the Hub Trail continues towards completion.

Vehicular access to the main library as during previous closures is available via an uneven-surfaced laneway off Russ Ramsay Way that connects to Ken Danby Way.

Please follow the signs to gain access to the main library.

Pedestrians for the next two days are requested to stay on the west side of East Street between the new curbs and the Hub Trail (this area consists of packed gravel).

Follow this path to Ken Danby and cross East Street to the south door entrance of the library.

By October 21 it is anticipated that pedestrian access to the main library will be provided via the east side of East Street.

This area will consist of uneven surfaces.

Wheelchair access to the library has been provided via the south door entrance and will be made available at the north door entrance as well after October 21.

Surfaces to these ramps consist of uneven compact sand and gravel mixture.

Additional library parking has been created on the lawn between the south side of the main library and the art gallery.

Please do not park in the library’s lower delivery area off Bay Street as your vehicle may be towed.

The main library is open as usual.

However during this service disruption, if it is more convenient, please feel free to visit our Korah or Churchill branches instead.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
