How cute are these Christmas cards created by local kids?

Those on the mayor's Christmas card list can expect some unique greetings this year, as the city announces the winners of the annual Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition.

Five creations were selected from about 300 student submissions and are slated to be the mayor's official holiday cards for 2023.

Each of the five winners will receive a gift certificate and a copy of the Christmas card personally signed by the mayor.

“I want to thank everyone who shared their creative cards with us. I enjoyed browsing through the submissions and look forward to sharing the creativity of our local students with leaders like the prime minister and premier, along with people across our community,” says Mayor Shoemaker in a news release.

The cards selected are as follows:
