************************* House fire in Blind River

BLIND RIVER, ON - On Monday July 9 at approximately 9:15 a.m. a house fire was reported to the East Algoma Blind River OPP.

The residence is located on West Street, Blind River.

The damage is estimated at $50,000.

The fire damage was contained to the basement of the residence with additional smoke damage to the main floor.

Members of the Sault Ste. Marie Forensic Identification Unit and the Fire Marshall's Office attended the scene.

The fire is currently still under investigation.
