No injuries in Hearst Street fire (7 photos, update)

Firefighters were on the scene of a fire last night

9 a.m. update:

Sault Fire Services told SooToday there were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the fire, stating the house was safely evacuated.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters responded to a house fire on Hearst Street last night.

SooToday readers have sent in a number of photos of the blaze.

Sean Senecal, who lives across the street from the fire, tells SooToday he heard sirens arriving shortly before 11:30 p.m. He said it appeared the fire started on the second floor.
