Five people are being held hostage at gun point in a small Virginia post office, U.S. media is reporting.
Three employees and two customers are reported to be inside the Wytheville post office with an armed suspect.
Police say shots have been fired.
Wytheville is a community of fewer than 30,000 people that is located in southwest Virginia.
