8:54 p.m. update:

Ontario 511 now says a lane and the south shoulder remain closed.

A crash has shut down a section of Highway 638.

Ontario 511 says the highway is closed in both directions at Highway 17B - Church Street in the Echo Bay area.

There's no information on an estimated time of reopening.
