Highway 17 closed after accident at Montreal River

Ontario Provincial Police released the following Highway 17 update at 12:57 p.m. today:

************************************** Highway 17 closure

Highway 17 at the Montreal River Hill between Ste Saint Marie and Wawa has been closed as police investigate a collision between a car and a tractor trailer.

Two people received non-life threatening injuries in the collision and have been transported to hospital for treatment.

It is anticipated the highway will be closed for several hours.
