************************* Thirty-year-old Tara Siobhan McKinley of 7 Lake Avenue in Prince Township was arrested yesterday at 6 p.m. at Wal-Mart (446 Great Northern Road) for fraud.

It is alleged that on that day the accused returned an item (appliance valued at over $300) for which she had not paid and secured an in-store credit . The accused left but returned a short time later to use the credit while police were on scene.

She identified herself falsely to officers who again were able to detect the deception.

The accused was found to have three outstanding warrants in her name.

Subsequently, the accused was arrested and charged for fraud and obstruct police while the outstanding warrants were executed.

************************* Twenty-seven-year-old Steven Keith Lacoursiere of 235 Brian Avenue was arrested on the 28th of January at 5:55 a.m. subsequent to loud noise complaints.

It is alleged that police had been called to the accused's residence on a second occasion regarding noise after already once cautioning the accused.

The accused however identified himself by a different name.

Officers were able to uncover the deception and further found the accused to be bound by a condition of a recognizance to abstain absolutely from the consumption of alcohol.

The accused had been drinking.

As a result, the accused was arrested and charged for breach of recognizance and obstruct police.

************************* Break and enters

- A tug boat located at Purvis Marine on Pim Street was entered sometime during the previous night. It was not clear what was taken at the time.

- A residence in the 300 block of Cathcart Street was reported broken into sometime yesterday afternoon. Jewelry and some cash were stolen.

- There was an attempted break and enter to a residence in the 200 block of John Street sometime during the previous evening.

************************* Mischief

- A residence on White Oak Drive and a residence on Tadcaster Place were both egged just prior to and after 2 a.m. this morning.

************************* Theft

- A vehicle parked on Pleasant Drive was entered in the early morning hours and a briefcase was stolen.
