An oil industry helicopter carrying 18 people has crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off Newfoundland's east coast. One survivor has been flown to a St. John's hospital.
Searchers are trying to locate the 17 other people who were aboard.
Reports indicate the helicopter's crew had identified non-specific mechanical problems.
