************************* Thessalaon area man missing

THESSALON, ON - On October 30, 2009, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the East Algoma Thessalon Detachment received a report of a Thessalon area male overdue.

The male left his residence at approximately 3 p.m. to travel the back roads and scout out areas for firewood.

The male, David Birnie Hotchkiss (date of birth July 10,1932 - 77 years-old), resides in the Ansonia Road area north of Thessalon.

Description:

- Height: 183 cm (6‘ tall)

- Weight: 88 kgs (195 lbs)

- Eye colour: blue

- Glasses: yes

- Build: heavy, right-handed

- Hair: straight silver hair

- Facial mair: silver moustache with a long silver beard

- Clothing: black bush sweater, black pants, black bush jacket, cowboy hat and cowboy boots

- Overall health: good

Additional information: walks hunched over

Hotchkiss left his residence driving a 1998 Dodge pickup truck bearing Ontario licence plate #623 2WT.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Hotchkiss spoke with the MNR about old logging areas in the Cooper Lake, Saunders Lake and Bijou Lake areas and could have headed in that direction.
