************************* Missing vehicle

ELLIOT LAKE, ON – Yesterday, police attended a residence on MacFarlane Road regarding a possible stolen vehicle.

The complainant is house-sitting for her neighbours and noted that sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 9 a.m. a vehicle parked in the driveway of her neighbours went missing.

The missing vehicle is a 2002 Blue Chevrolet Silverado bearing Ontario marker 181OVT.

Anyone with information regarding the above missing vehicle is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

************************ Police assistance nets a charge for local male

ELLIOT LAKE, ON – On January 21 at approximately 10:55 p.m. police were called to attend a residence on Mississauga Avenue for police assistance.

Police arrived on scene and was told by the homeowner that he wanted one male party removed from his residence.

The male party was in the process of leaving when the homeowner became agitated.

The subject refused to calm down and police arrested the homeowner.

Through investigation it was learned that the subject was under conditions not to consume alcohol.

Charged with failing to comply is Timothy Richard Bloxom (49) of Elliot Lake.

Bloxom is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on March 2.

************************ Theft under and more

ELLIOT LAKE, ON – The OPP has charged a local male after receiving a complaint of theft.

On January 23 police attended a pet store on Columbia Walk in Elliot Lake regarding a possible theft.

Through investigation it was learned that a male had attended the store and while the employee was busy allegedly stole an item from the store.

The subject left the store without paying for the item.

Through investigation, police arrested and charged Mark Crockford (26) of Elliot Lake.

Crockford is charged with the theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime

Crockford is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on March 2.

************************* Shoplifting is a crime

ELLIOT LAKE, ON – Police attended a local grocery store on Ontario Avenue on January 25 regarding a possible theft.

On scene, police learned that the subject allegedly took items from the store and left the store without paying for the items.

Charged with theft under is Ashley Tranberg (24) of Elliot Lake. Tranberg is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on March 2.
