************************* MNR requests the public's assistance with bear sightings

The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) is advising that there is a small yearling bear in the Airport Road and Base Line area.

There is also another small yearling bear in the Old Goulais Bay Road and People’s Road area between Fourth and Fifth Line.

The MNR has set up traps out in these locations, but have not yet trapped these bears.

There have been residents reporting that these small bears have been treed on several occasions.

Treed bears can be captured and removed by the MNR.

If you see any treed bears, please immediately phone the Bear Reporting Line at 1-866-514-BEAR (2327).
