Just when SooToday.com was about to give up all hope of finding a Sault Harry Potter fan dressed as the young wizard at Galaxy Cinemas last night, there suddenly appeared seven-year-old Joshua Leppanen.

And his 11-year-old sister Kyla.

It was as if they were conjured out of thin air.

Hmmmmm...

The duo arrived at the theatre adorned in their finest Harry Potter garb in eager anticipation of yesterday's world premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Joshua and Kyla joined the swarms of Potter enthusiasts who lined up outside the three local Galaxy screens that are screening the sixth film in the series.

Entertaining the waiting Potterites was local sleight-of-hand guy, Matt Liepa, who told us that Harry Potter had nothing to with his interest in magic.

It was actually David Blain who first inspired Liepa to grab a deck of cards and learn a trick or two.

Galaxy Cinemas Operations Manager Amanda Conway told us that all yesterday's screenings of The Half Blood Prince were sold out, and the theatre had sold more than 1,000 tickets to the movie before 3 p.m.

Never fear, local Potterites.

Galaxy is showing the film eight times a day.

Eight times!

Show times are 11:30 a.m., 11:50 a.m., 3 p.m., 3:20 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 6:50 p.m., 10 p.m. and 10:20 p.m.
