Guys stay away in droves from Jann Arden concert

2000 citizens of Sault Ste. Marie gathered in the Steelback Centre for the latest in what, so far, has been a very successful run of concerts.

Tonight's Jann Arden show was no exception.

Although smaller than previous shows, it was no less enjoyable as Jann skillfully teetered between sobering the audience with her sweet, poignant and often sad songs and provoking tears of laughter as she razzed the band members, told tales of her drunken youth and jokingly apologized for smoking pot before she got on stage.

It was a strange but welcome juxtaposition of emotions and could very well be called the "chick-flick" of Steelback Centre shows.

There was a definite lack of males in attendance.
