******************** On the 3rd of November, members of the Manitoulin Island Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Joint Forces drug unit which include the OPP Drug Enforcement Section, the Greater Sudbury Police Service, the RCMP and the OPP Northeast Region executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at two residences located in Meldrum Bay on Manitoulin Island.

Police located 41 cannabis marijuana plants, approximately seven ounces of cannabis marijuana and grow-related equipment.

Total potential street value of the controlled substances seized is estimated at $42,680.

Total value of the grow related equipment is estimated at $5,000.

One person is being sought in this investigation.

Police investigation is continuing.
