Mississauga, ON – The Mississauga IceDogs announced today that they have traded forward Dustin Jeffrey [shown] along with a 3rd round draft pick in 2007 to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for right winger Chris Lawrence and defensemen Joshua Day.

Chris Lawrence ('87) has spent the past two seasons with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

In 2003-04 he played 62 games recording seven goals, six assists for 13 points while collecting 34 penalty minutes. In 2004-05 Lawrence played 68 games recording 11 goals, 40 assists for 51 points and collected 57 penalty minutes.

This season he has played 29 games for the Greyhounds and has recorded three goals, 14 assists for a total of 17 points and has 31 penalty minutes.

Joshua Day ('88) spent last season 2004-05 with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds where he played 20 games recording one assist and four penalty minutes.

This season Day has played 23 games for the Greyhounds collecting 4 assists and 12 penalty minutes.

******************** Hounds, Ice Dogs complete three-player deal

The Soo Greyhounds have announced the completion of a three-player trade with the Mississauga Ice Dogs earlier today.

The deal will see the Hounds receive one player and one draft pick.

In exchange, the Ice Dogs will see two players go their way.

Here's how the deal works out:

To Sault Ste. Marie:

- C. Dustin Jeffrey, 1988

- third round pick in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection

To Mississauga

- R.W. Chris Lawrence, 1987

- D. Josh Day, 1988

Jeffrey, a native of Courtright, Ontario is in his second season in the Ontario Hockey League.

The former 1st round pick of the IceDogs (17th overall in 2004) has appeared in 30 games this year notching 6 goals and 9 assists, good for 15 points.

The left-shooting forward stands 6'1" while weighing in at 180 pounds.

The Soo Greyhounds would like to welcome Dustin to Sault Ste. Marie and also thank both Chris and Josh for their time and efforts given to this organization.
