Goulais River liquor store broken into

************************* Two businesses north of Sault Ste. Marie targeted

VANKOUGHNET TOWNSHIP, ON - (September 12) - A short while later, at 4:10 a.m. this morning OPP responded to an alarm at the L.C.B.O. located on Highway 17 in Goulais River.

The front glass door to the liquor store had been smashed and several bottles of liquor taken.

************************* HERRICK TOWNSHIP, ON - (September 12) - At approximately 3:15 a.m. this morning OPP responded to a call at the Canadian Carver located 80 kilometres north of Sault Ste. Marie.

Suspect(s) unknown attempted to gain entry into the store by prying open the front door of the business.

The store owner was alerted and the suspect(s) fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Both of these incidents are still under police investigation.
