Gordon Barnett charged with impaired driving

************************* Forty-three-year-old Gordon Barnett of 46 Granada Drive in Simcoe, Ontario was arrested at 1:19 a.m. today on Queen Street East and charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of consuming over the legal limit and two counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that just after 1 a.m., officers on patrol observed the accused passed out inside his running vehicle on Queen Street East.

After several attempts to wake the accused he stepped out of the vehicle and officers discovered he was under the influence of alcohol.

He will appear in court on June 29.
