************************* On the 4th of September a male was observed by Sears staff taking a camera from the store and exiting without making any attempt to pay for it.

He was apprehended outside the store just after 7:30 p.m.

Twenty-eight-year-old David Arden Godin of 379 Cathcart Street has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will be appearing in court on the 15th of October.

************************* Twenty-year-old Kody William Owl of 115 Henrietta has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

It is believed that just after 11 a.m. yesterday morning the accused in this incident was at the Sears store on Bay Street.

He was observed by Sears’s staff taking merchandise from the store and leaving without making any attempt to pay for the articles.

He was apprehended outside the store and held until police arrival.

He is scheduled to appear in court on the 24th of September.

************************* The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to remind the public that when a bicycle has been stolen it should be reported to the police.

Once a report has been filed, the complainant or the owner may attend the police station on Thursday afternoons between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. to view bicycles which have been recovered and not identified.
