Get ready to pop, lock and break it down!

SAULT STE. MARIE - Project Soul, a hip hop dance group from British Columbia will be taking over the Grand Theatre Sunday April 15 in a wildly entertaining showcase of a variety of dance styles from breaking, popping and locking, to street jazz and beyond!

Project Soul was founded by Kim Sato, a traditionally trained dancer from Vancouver who was inspired by the underground talent she discovered while studying varying styles of dance.

Project Soul, through their dance display, hope to showcase the positive impact of street dance, their love and passion for hip hop and funk styles, and how it connects and identifies with many of today’s youth.

This event is the last act in the 2011-2012 Over The Rainbow Children’s Entertainment Series presented by the Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie and District.

This event is sponsored by the Delta Waterfront Hotel, Unique Data Systems and Violette Amimi of Remax.

Tickets are $15 per adult and $12 per child.

They are available for purchase at the Arts Council Office, Kevanna Studios, Hilltribe Designs and Once Upon a Child.

If you purchased a passport ticket earlier in the year, this is the final show in which the passport can be used.

Project Soul’s mission is to spread the understanding of and love for street dance to as many communities as they possibly can.

They want to continue to honour and respect the culture that has given them so much passion and kept them inspired.
