Galaxy Cinemas Sault Ste. Marie opens its doors to movie-goers Friday - at reduced capacity - as Ontario moves into Step 3 of reopening.

Movie theatres across the province will operate at 50 per cent capacity to a maximum of 1,000 guests per building with enhanced safety and cleaning measures in place.

Five new films - Black Widow, Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Boss Baby: Family Business, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions and F9 will be screened in the Sault beginning Friday.

“Our team has been waiting for this day and are thrilled that next week we will finally be able to reopen our doors in Ontario,” said Cineplex CEO and President Ellis Jacob in a recent news release. “We can now enjoy movies the way that they’re meant to be seen, with Cineplex providing the escape of the big screen and big sound that we have all been missing for so long.”

More information on showtimes and tickets can be found at the Cineplex website, the Cineplex app or the local theatre.
