Sault Ste. Marie City Council will be asked tonight to consider establishing a toboggan and tubing park and a concession stand at Finn Hill.

Ward 1 Councillor James Caicco, who's spearheading the idea, points out that Searchmont Resort has discontinued its tubing park and many Canadians are finding their way instead to the snow park in the Michigan Sault.

Caicco and his Ward 3 counterpart Bryan Hayes have offered to explore partnerships with local service clubs and other funding agencies.

If Council goes for the idea, the City's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee will arrange for a feasibility study on whether such a facility could be established at Finn Hill or some other location.
