North Algoma child killed in golf cart incident

************************* Fatal roll-over: 8-year-old deceased

HORNEPAYNE, ON - The Superior East OPP in Hornepayne is presently investigating a fatal roll-over involving a golf cart which resulted in the death of an eight-year-old female, a resident of Hornepayne.

The incident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on June 13, 2011.

Investigation at this point indicates the motorized cart was being operated on Kimick Lodge Road near Hornepayne by a seven-year-old male accompanied by the female passenger.

The operator lost control causing the cart to roll on top of the deceased.

The OPP Traffic and Identification units are presently assisting in the investigation.
