Stanley Sadinsky, the new chair of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., says he's personally willing to consider moving to the Sault if a feasibility study indicates it's a good idea.

As SooToday.com reported in late August, OLGC is studying whether the jobs of its as-yet-unappointed chief executive officer and other OLGC corporate-office positions could be located here instead of Toronto.

The study follows a request from Sault Ste. Marie City Council earlier this year to make living in the Sault a condition of employment for the new CEO.

Sadinsky told SooToday.com this week that he likes our community and would consider moving here from Kingston if the feasibility study concludes that should happen.

On Monday, Sadinsky was in Sault Ste. Marie to participate in the Wintario Millions Charity Challenge at Station Mall.

Also attending the event were Faye Dance, who hosted the Wintario and WIN TV television programs for more than 21 years, and a local crime figure with whom Sadinsky was seen repeatedly fraternizing.

During the Charity Challenge, selected members of the local news media compete for cash prizes ranging from $3,000 to $1,000 to award to charity.

And the winners were...

$3,000 - Sault College Foundation (David Helwig, SooToday.com)

$2,000 - United Way of Sault Ste. Marie (Kim Fewchuk, MCTV)

$1,000 - United Way of Sault Ste. Marie (Brian Kelly, Sault Star)

$1,000 - Christmas Cheer Stuff-a-Bus (Scott Turnbull, Q104)

$1,000 - Women in Crisis of Sault Ste. Marie (Sandra Paul, Sault This Week)

Totally irrelevant SooToday.com factoids

In recent years, Faye Dance has appeared on television series ranging from Kung Fu and Alfred Hitchcock Presents to Woman on Trial, ENG and My Secret Identity.

Faye's last televised Wintario draw was at Korah Collegiate. If you remember the year, please drop us a note in the News Response forum on our Editorial page. Faye told us and we wrote it down on a spiffy Wintario clipboard that we then left at Station Mall.
