**************************************************************** Dear Mayor:

I am still quite upset about the retaining of a lawyer at taxpayers expense without my consent or knowledge on the matters discussed in that document.

I am in a business where there is accountability and full disclosure. That is how I plan to work as councillor. I have an obligation to the constituents and taxpayers and no one else.

I was sworn in with no skeletons in my closet and that's the way it will stay. I cannot keep this document secret because the public requires disclosure and accountability.

John, I'm giving you the opportunity to release/discuss the document to the public and apologize.

If not, I will do it on Thursday, January 11 UNLESS CONVINCED OTHERWISE.

John, you gave me some advice this morning that I will take - you said get the input from the second term councillors on whether this is appropriate.

However, my feelings at present have me very uncomfortable being an accomplice to this.

Jamie
