The Voyageur Trail Association and the City of Sault Ste. Marie have just finished a new walking trail and it's yours to discover.

The trail runs parallel to Black Road between McNabb Street and the Northern Avenue extension.

"The Finn Hill hike is a chance to explore some of the more natural places in our community, to meet people who like to walk and to develop a healthier lifestyle," says Jim Miller, chair of the Sault Trails Action Committee.

An official opening and inaugural hike is planned for this Thursday (October 9) at 6 p.m. It starts at the bottom of Finn Hill, where the parking lot will be open.

The Voyageur Trail Association held its 30th Anniversary annual meeting on Saturday in Sault Ste. Marie.

Today, the association's participating in an all-day hike in Bruce Mines.
