Man jumps into pants. (12 Buskerfest photos)

Most guys put their pants on one leg at a time. Not Dave Cox. The internationally renowned inventor of the amazing The Toilet Paper Tightrope of Death jumps into his pants with both feet. Sort of like the way Cox jumps into his performances.

Saultites can help him perform his toilet-paper miracle this weekend on Queen Street between East and Brock Streets.

Buskerfest 2010 is kicking off with local belly dancers, the Zaghareets, led by the amazing Katie Campbell at 5 p.m.

The 7th annual Sault Ste. Marie Buskerfest runs through Sunday in Queenstown Square 1.

Also performing this year are the Aerial Angels, a troupe of high-flying circus artists performing feats of grace and skill on the aerial hoop and silk.

Thom Selectomy will be thrilling audiences with his comedic take on the art of sword swallowing and the Junkyard Symphony will be entertaining with educational antics and percussion performed with reused old ordinary objects.

Victor Rubilar brings his football freestyling all the way from Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Checkerboard Guy will dazzle audiences with his comic daredevil act involving everything from 13th-Century battleaxes to stinky shoes as well as unicycles and ladders.

Don't miss the workshops and entertainment that will also be going on in the Grand Theatre on Saturday.

Also new to Buskerfest this year is Art in the Parking Spot.

There will be interactive demonstrations with young artists from the Sault and area on Queen Street East in front of the museum on August 7 and 8 from 12-6 p.m.

Art in the Parking Spot will feature tie-dyeing with Patrick Hunter, jewellery-making with Emma Piirtoniemi, hair-wraps with Michelle Loubert, spray paint with Cody Spahr and drawing with Jeff Dixon.

Works by the artists will also be available for purchase.

The event is free but anyone wanting to tie-dye should bring a white t-shirt.

Queen Street between East and Brock Streets will be closed to motor vehicles during the following times:

- Friday, August 6 from 4 to 11 p.m. (performances begin at 5 p.m.)

- Saturday, August 7 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (performances begin at noon)
