DViant Films, the production company shooting the film Longfellow in Sault Ste. Marie, needs well-dressed extras for a scene to be shot next week.

The dark comedy is about Robert Longfellow, a once-successful playwright, who makes a routine trip home to visit his elderly mother.

DViant will be filming at as many as six sites around the Sault, but 70 percent of the action is taking place at one location.

A crew of 40-50 people is working on the production, and a caterer has been instructed to deliver them a daily meal consisting of two salads, two meat dishes, one fish, a vegetarian main dish (often pasta), one dessert and three side dishes (potatoes or greens).

The producer stipulates that these dishes be different every day, and stresses the importance of punctuality and consistent quality to maintain crew morale.
