Soo Mill was founded in 1915 by Fremlin Hollingsworth and is currently in its third generation of ownership.

A leading building supplier in the Algoma district, the company has stores in Sault Ste. Marie and Elliot Lake, as well as a roof truss manufacturing plant in the Sault.

Soo Mill Buildall team members recognize that the building supply industry is not a self service business.

It is a knowledge-based business where most customers need not only products, but advice on product selection and installation.

The experienced staff at Soo Mill is a genuine asset when customers question materials that they need to complete the job.

32 of Soo Mill’s 80 full-time employees have been with the company for over 20 years.

Many more have been with the company between 5 and 20.

In addition to regular in-house training relating to products and services, in 2009, fourteen Soo Mill employees received their certification in Ontario SuperHost.

Ontario SuperHost is an internationally-recognized and certified customer service training program.

SuperHost-certified service people are trained to go the extra mile for customers.
