************************* Search warrant arrest On the 23rd of September at 6:08 a.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service street team, the emergency service unit and the canine unit executed a search warrant at 105 Wellington Street West.

During the course of the search, officers located a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, 5.2 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, packaging materials, five codeine tablets and a prohibited knife.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized was $880.

As a result, arrested and charged at the residence was 24-year-old Lance Wabigwan of 105 Wellington Street West, charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of careless use or storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon, and one count of breach of probation.

The investigation is continuing and further charges are pending.
