************************* This is a description of unplanned power interruptions that are currently affecting PUC Distribution customers in Sault Ste. Marie.

Interruption date: May 16, 2009

Cause

Equipment failure - failed high voltage switch

PUC staff are currently investigating the cause of the interruption and will take corrective action by making repairs or switching around the problem as soon as possible.

Description of area involved

Peoples Road west to Gros Cap, 2nd Line north to City limits, all areas west of Leigh's Bay Road, Third Line north to City limit and west of Maki Road. Power restored to affected areas except Pt. Des Chenes and west.
