Five photos of sundogs

SooToday.com received two e-mails from loyal readers this morning containing photos of sundogs - a light effect that sometimes happens when the sun hits ice crystals.

SooToday.com received two e-mails from loyal readers this morning containing photos of sundogs - a light effect that sometimes happens when the sun hits ice crystals.

The first comes from Korinne Weima, who e-mailed us three photos of sundogs she snapped around 9 a.m. this morning along Great Northern Road (shown, and photos 1 to 3 in the photo gallery).

Two other photos came from Lucille, who captured them just outside her back window this morning along Black Dirt Road.

"I thought your readers might enjoy seeing them as it is unusual to see a rainbow this time of year," Lucille told SooToday.com.
