Dan Pandzic took a few minutes to demonstrate how big air can be done big yesterday, before turning the pump track over to the real competitors.

Pandzic is seen making it look easy at the first annual Velorution and Searchmont-sponsored Big Air Competition.

Seven competitors vied for coveted titles like 'best short show', 'best tricks', and of course, 'biggest air.'

Lucas Watson captured the big air title with Jacob Running taking home the best trick prize.

The fun contest was conceived to give pump track riders at Velorution a chance to show their stuff and to introduce new riders to the track with the added bonus of a competitor's rush.

Velorution's pump track, or dirt park, features a wooden ramp, more skinnies, better jumps, more rhythm and more hits than before.
