Joe Fratesi (shown) no longer takes home the City's fattest paycheque.

Figures released under the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act show that the chief administrative officer and former mayor earned $128,654 last year in salary, plus $5,144 in taxable benefits.

The previous year, Fratesi was the top earner among the City's five $100,000 men.

This year, the $100,000 club has expanded to include seven members, but Fratesi was displaced as the top breadwinner by Police Chief Bob Davies, who collected $130,639 in salary and $4,062 in taxable benefits.

It's still a man's world at the top. So far, no woman in the City's employ has cracked the $100,000 barrier.

Other $100,000 earners

- Reg Avery, public works and transportation commissioner - $100,496 salary, $2,563 benefits

- Lorie Bottos, city solicitor - $102,274 salary, $1,211 benefits

- Mel Brechin, engineering and planning commissioner - $102,274 salary, $1,217 benefits

- William Freiburger, finance commissioner and treasurer - $102,233 salary, $1,217 benefits

- Robert Kates, deputy chief of police - $117,121 salary, $5,038 benefits
