The following are additional recipients of the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship:

******************** Gail A. Richardson, of St. Catharines, has worked extensively with the Bethlehem Projects which provide counseling, support groups, goal planning and life skills training to people who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness. Peter Ashward Sealy, of Toronto, has established educational, social and recreational programs for youth of the Parkdale community for 30 years. Bertha R. Shvemar, of Toronto, co-founded the Parents' Action League, an organization that promotes children's safety and has helped remove barriers for the First Nations people and children with disabilities. Keith James Strong, of Burlington, has made significant contributions to projects such as the Burlington Economic Development Corporation, the Burlington Community Foundation, and the Halton Women's Place. Dr. Jeffrey M. Turnbull, of Ottawa, has provided health care to homeless adults and families living in the community. D.A. Elaine Vollett, of Markham, has created a safe, positive and welcoming environment for young adults with developmental disabilities. Susan Mary Williams, of Sutton West, founder of the Georgina Diabetic Support Group, has done extensive work in improving health care in her community and has provided support to breast cancer survivors. Lenny Wong, of Thornhill, is President of the Chao Chow Association and a community activist who champions many causes including food banks, the World Wildlife Fund and a scholarship program. Nominations are made by individuals and community organizations across Ontario.

Since 1973, when the first Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship ceremony was held, 368 people have received the award.
