The collision claimed the lives of 15-year-old Melanie Savord of North Bay, 40-year-old Kimberly Oancia of Sudbury, and 37-year-old Brian Dugas of Sudbury.

On behalf of the Province of Ontario and the Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police, the North East Region Director of Operations is offering the reward at a media conference yesterday in the North Bay OPP detachment boardroom.

Lead investigator, Detective Constable Dan Foy of the North Bay OPP Criminal Investigations Unit, was in attendance to provide the media with background information on this major investigation. This investigation remains active and investigators are responding to witness accounts and tips from the public regarding a green van observed travelling eastbound in the westbound lane that forced the driver of a Silver Hyundai to take evasive action.
