Earlier today, SooToday.com posted Bryan Anderson's note about how he and a bunch of former Saultbies got together in Ottawa on New Year's Eve and how they were all dying for some authentic Sault pizza.

They were begging our readers to Fedex them some Mrs. B's.

Well SooToday.com reader Flyhawk25 did one better than that.

He did some sleuthing and today tells us that Mike Maguire, a former employee of Mrs. B's, has recently opened up shop in Ottawa's Kent Street pizza district. Mike's place, offering piping-hot Sault-style pies, is so new that it won't be in the Ottawa phone book until the 2006 edition is published later this month.

"The place is called Marzano Pizzeria, 248 Kent Street, 569-2100," Flyhawk25 reports.

"I am told by none other than the owner's dad that Mike uses only the best cheese .... He got a $300 order from some Michiganders staying at a downtown hotel and found out that someone had left his flyer in the Yellow Pages in the book in their room with a note saying that it was the best pizza they'd ever had, so they ordered one and the next day did the big order."

"Tell him you got the news here and he might slip on another topping. I doubt it, but it can't hurt to try," Flyhawk25 suggests.
