OPP urge public to come forward with information

(North Bay, ON) - The North Bay OPP and the North Bay OPP Crime Unit continue their investigation into the triple fatality that took place on Sunday July 31, 2005, on Highway 17 approximately 12 kilometers west of North Bay, Ontario.

The collision claimed the lives of 15-year-old Melanie Savord of North Bay, 40-year-old Kimberly Oancia of Sudbury and 37-year-old Brian Dugas of Sudbury.

The investigators are responding to witness accounts and tips from the public regarding a green van observed travelling eastbound in the westbound lane that forced the driver of the Silver Hyundai to take evasive action.

The green van stopped when a collision occurred between the Hyundai and Dodge pickup.

It subsequently drove off continuing eastbound.

Police wish to remind those travelling through the area about this tragic motor vehicle collision and are again urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation.

Please contact the North Bay OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or the Near North Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
