********************** Yesterday afternoon just before 4 p.m., two youths attempted to rob ticket sellers at Rome’s in the front lobby.

It is alleged at that one of the youths entered the store, walked around where the seller was and then left.

This youth then re-attended in the store and threatened the seller with a knife.

The would-be robber was scared off when another person in the area left to call the police and notify security.

The robber left empty handed and no one was hurt.

Officers, with the assistance of witnesses and store security staff, were able to ascertain that the robber had an accomplice.

It is alleged that this second youth gave the would be robber a change of clothes to put over theirs to go into the store with and then after the thwarted robbery, took the clothes back and put them in a duffle bag in the hopes of confusing police and security with the change of the clothing description.

City Police arrested the youths shortly after the incident.

The first youth, age 15 has been charged with one count of attempt robbery and one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm.

The second youth, also age 15, has been charged with one count of accessory after the fact and one count of party to the offence of attempt robbery.

Both youths will appear in court on March 29th.
