(Sault St. Marie, MI – February 14, 2005) – John Coulter won a $3,941,711 five-dollar Wheel of Fortune® progressive MegaJackpot™ on Sunday, February 13th.

The winner, a financial advisor from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, said he likes the Wheel of Fortune® progressive, and "plays them quite often."

Incredibly, after investing only $20 into the winning machine, Coulter said he "did not realize" he had won the top prize.

"[I] had to ask the security guard five times," he reported.

Immediate plans for his winnings will include "clearing" his debt, and providing "a college education for [my] six children. And travel," he said.

The new millionaire also commented that his MegaJackpot™ win will "reduce stress and make life more enjoyable."

Sunday’s jackpot is the 9th MegaJackpot™ to be awarded at the casino since 1998, and the second over $1 million.

The Kewadin Casino has now paid out over $7.3 million in MegaJackpot™ prizes.

The $3.9 million prize is not only the largest jackpot to be paid at the casino, but the largest in the state of Michigan.

It is the second-largest jackpot to hit on the five-dollar Wheel of Fortune® progressive system nationwide.

The casino is one of five Kewadin casinos in Michigan.

Sister casinos are located in Christmas, Hessel, Manistique, St. Ignace.

Just yesterday, on February 13th, the Kewadin Casino in Christmas awarded a $1.1 million Wheel of Fortune ® MegaJackpot™ on the one-dollar system.

Combined, the Kewadin casinos have now awarded over $13.8 million in MegaJackpot™ prizes on a variety of progressive systems including Quartermania®, an Instant Winners Jackpot, the popular Jeopardy!® and Elvis® quarters systems, the Harely Davidson® system where in addition to the MegaJackpot,™ the winner also receives a Harley Davidson® Fat Boy® motorcycle, and the exciting The Beverly Hillbillies Video Slots® progressive.

This is the sixth MegaJackpot™ over $1 million to be awarded at a Kewadin casino.

The five-dollar Wheel of Fortune® progressive system has a starting jackpot of $1 million and features the famous spinning wheel from the popular television game show.

In order to win the MegaJackpot™, a player bets $10 at a time while attempting to line up the Wheel of Fortune® reel symbols on the machine's payline.

Each time a coin is played in a linked machine, the cumulative jackpot grows and continues to build until it is won. Wheel of Fortune® was developed by International Game Technology IGT (www.IGT.com), is a global company specializing in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and sales of computerized gaming machines and systems products.

All IGT MegaJackpots™ top awards are paid in annual installments upon verification, except MegaJackpots™ Instant Winners Jackpots and Rapid Riches MegaJackpots™ awards, which are paid in their entirety upon verification.
