The following frost advisory was issued tonight by Environment Canada for the Michigan Soo and other parts of the Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Peninsula.

At the time of the last update of this article (10:55 p.m.) no comparable warnings had been issued by Environment Canada and the low temperature was expected to be 2°C tonight and 5°C tomorrow.

************************* FROST FOR SOME AREAS TONIGHT.

AFTER A COLD DAY ACROSS NORTHERN MICHIGAN, TEMPERATURES WILL DROP INTO THE UPPER 20S AND LOWER 30S OVERNIGHT.

THINNING CLOUD COVER AND DIMINISHING WINDS OVER NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN WILL LEAD TO AREAS OF FROST DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF SAULT STE. MARIE, ST. IGNACE, PETOSKEY, CHEBOYGAN, ROGERS CITY, CHARLEVOIX, NORTHPORT, MANCELONA, GAYLORD, ATLANTA, ALPENA, FRANKFORT, TRAVERSE CITY, KALKASKA, GRAYLING, MIO, HARRISVILLE, HOUGHTON LAKE, WEST BRANCH, TAWAS CITY, GLADWIN, STANDISH

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A FROST ADVISORY, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM EDT MONDAY.

TEMPERATURES DIPPING TO AROUND 30 DEGREES OVERNIGHT, COMBINED WITH THINNING CLOUD COVER AND DIMINISHING WINDS WILL LEAD TO AREAS OF FROST DEVELOPING OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING.

A FROST ADVISORY MEANS THAT FROST IS POSSIBLE.
