The tragic weekend death of Sault Ste. Marie's Corporal Scott Roberts is front-page news this morning in Edmonton.

Roberts died early Saturday morning after a head-on collision in Alberta involving his motorcycle and a car driven in the wrong direction by a 19-year-old now charged with impaired driving causing death.

"Corporal Roberts was an extremely physically fit and motivated soldier and mechanic," said Roberts' commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Martin Kenneally. "On behalf of all ranks at 3 PPCLI, I wish to send our condolences to his friends and family.... He was a credit to his unit and the army and he will be missed."
