The following freezing rain warning was issued this morning by Environment Canada for Gogama - Foleyet.

This is a warning that an extended period of freezing rain is imminent or occurring in these regions.

An low pressure system currently located over Colorado is moving toward the upper Great Lakes regions tonight.

Meanwhile, a high pressure system is expected to dominate Québec region ushering in colder air to Northeastern Ontario.

As a warm front associated with the low pressure system approaches Northern Ontario late tonight, precipitation will start as snow and quickly change to freezing rain.

Two to four mm of ice accumulation is expected with the freezing rain.

Freezing rain is expected to change to rain Monday afternoon when the low moves into Québec.
