Frank Caicco charged with choking corrections officer

************************* On Sunday April 8 at about 2:30 p.m. Sault Ste. Marie Police arrested 43-year-old Frank Caicco and charged him with one count of assault.

It is alleged that, on April 3, the accused assaulted a guard at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre on Great Northern Road.

The assault consisted of the accused choking the complainant.

The guard did not require medical attention as a result of the assault.

The accused will be appearing in bail court today.
