************************* Ninety-nine fires to date in the East Fire Region since April 1, 2008

Sault Ste. Marie 7 was reported yesterday and has since been called out.

The only active fire in the region is Cochrane 7 that is being observed northwest of Moosonee.

The forest fire hazard is low throughout the East Fire Region.

Always use caution with all outdoor fires and follow safe burning guidelines.

Remember to choose a safe site, keep your fire small and never leave it unattended.

Ensure the fire is put dead out before leaving the site.
