Forest fire hazard remains low
There has been one new fire in the East Fire Region within the last 24 hours.
Sudbury 15, west of Nairn Centre, was 0.1 hectares in size and has since been called out.
The forest fire hazard remains low for most of the East Fire Region.
Always use caution with all outdoor fires and follow safe burning guidelines.
Under the Forest Fires Prevention Act of Ontario day burning of brush or grass is not allowed.
You may start a fire no sooner than two hours before sunset and it must be put it out no later than two hours after sunrise.
Choose a safe site, keep the fire small and never leave it unattended.
Remember to ensure the fire is put dead out before leaving the site.
